Network marketing is a business activity based on modern marketing theory and realizing marketing objectives with the help of network, communication and digital media technology. It is promoted by comprehensive factors such as scientific and technological progress, customer value change and market competition; It is the inevitable product of information society.
According to its realization mode, network marketing can be divided into broad sense and narrow sense. The broad sense of network marketing refers to enterprises using all computer networks for marketing activities, while the narrow sense of network marketing specifically refers to international Internet marketing.
It also refers to a series of business activities conducted by organizations or individuals on products and services based on the development of convenient Internet, so as to meet the needs of organizations or individuals. Network marketing is an integral part of the overall marketing strategy of enterprises. It is a marketing means based on the Internet and with the help of Internet characteristics to achieve certain marketing objectives.
Network marketing can be defined as: network marketing is a planning, implementation and operation management activity based on the Internet and social relationship network to connect enterprises, users and the public, transmit valuable information and services to users and the public, and realize customer value and enterprise marketing objectives. Network marketing is not online sales, not equal to website promotion. Network marketing is a means rather than an end. It is not limited to the Internet or e-commerce. It should be regarded as the application and development of traditional marketing theory in the Internet environment.
Broadly speaking, the marketing activities carried out by enterprises using all networks (including social networks, computer networks, enterprise intranet, special line network of industry system and Internet, wired networks, wireless networks, wired communication networks and mobile communication networks, etc.) can be called network marketing.
In a narrow sense, all marketing activities that take the Internet as the main marketing means to achieve certain marketing objectives are called network marketing.
