More relevancy improvements made tonight.
« on: July 28, 2010, 09:32:05 PM »
I've tweaked the Shablast algorithm tonight to improve relevancy.  The new algorithm does a much better job of favoring informational material over sales pitches and other commercial material.  It's not perfect, of course, but I think you'll find it much better.

My goal is to make Shablast the best research search engine.  Have fun at Google when you want to buy something, but when you're out to do some research, I want Shablast to be #1.

Jon, When you are doing research, the first 10/12 pages in Google will be sales where the keywords
have been bought and paid for.

With Shablast, almost every thing I get it good research information.

I really, really like Shablast.  As a Blond headed girl (on the Mississippi beach road) who stuck her head in our
car window and ask my son for a light said 'It Just Keep's getting Better and Better'.   :D
